A DECADE OF Mastering Digital.
Becoming digital – that’s almost always how it starts. A client, a brand, even an idea. After a decade of marketing, carving a sustainble, scalable platform out of digital real estate can make all the difference.
Welcome to my digital portfolio – cainebird.com is all about raising a glass to becoming digital.
For my marketing clients, this means reaching an audience, outcompeting in crowded markets, and building an ‘online’ business that’s commercially-minded.
Where I write and publish, this portfolio allows readers to search across the depth and breadth of my writing catalogue – from my early days as a hungry journalist to national headlines and beyond.

Above is my full (& growing) archive of brands and clients – from content creation, discovery & delivery, through to branding, ranking (SEO) and campaign execution. My vision for “marketing” is an optimisitic one: being colourful is a low priority, whereas becoming more answerable to performance, customers and business goals and mission is the new future. Just as no-two projects are the same, audiences evolve too, and content changes to new demands and goals. Forcasts for tomorrow’s marketing scene have content, performance and ranking as some of the foremost significant areas of impact.

Prolific hand & hired-mind, here’s the (mostly) complete library of my writings, contributions, reviews, articles and interviews – in full view. Jump to my ARCHIVE for quick access to my writings. Alternatively, here you can get an at-a-glance view into some of the main spaces to feature my writing.
Sometimes writing is nothing more than spilt ink that starts to resemble something greather – a story perhaps, a likely character, a starting point.
After 10+ years of writing, I have developed a voice away from marketing that allows my insights a space to find a new and different readership. Against the fast-pace, loud backdrop of online writing, I have developed a sense of voice, a quality to my writing that has style, a tone, humour, and character. Learned, at-times journalistic, and taking influence from the likes of Cormac McCarthy, this is how I write.
Why stop reading?
My writer’s catalogue is equal measure a showcase of journalism and passion. It’s somewhere between the two. And everything written, I believe, contains a kernel of its author, their thoughts, emotions, moods and experiences. Through my archive, you’ll discover this, time and again.
